Convergence announced as Microsoft Partner of the Year

Convergence Communications is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as the Microsoft Partner of the Year in the category of Information Worker Solutions.

Microsoft's announcement came at the 2005 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference awards ceremony on July 9, 2005 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Winners were chosen from a group of more than 1,800 worldwide entries from Microsoft partners. Convergence was honored for delivering exemplary solutions to their customers during the past year.

The honor was a result of Convergence implementing their E-Sponder solution for several customers and events including the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office for Super Bowl IXXX, Washington University Police for the 2004 Presidential Debate held in St. Louis and for several other enterprise and small business accounts.

"We are pleased to have chosen Convergence as the Microsoft 2005 Partner of the Year in the Information Worker Solutions category. Convergence has shown an outstanding ability to deliver unique, customized solutions based on Microsoft(R) Office technologies. We commend Convergence for their skill in providing creative and cost-effective solutions for their customers," said Chris Capossela, corporate vice president, Information Worker Product Management Group at Microsoft.

In addition to the award, Convergence and the E-Sponder solution were featured as part of the Information Worker keynote address during the Worldwide Partner event. Robert Wolf, President of Convergence, presented E-Sponder to more than 1,800 attendees and spoke of the ease of use and demonstrated several of E-Sponder's key components. Mr. Wolf says "by extending SharePoint Portal Server to create E-Sponder, Convergence is able to build better solutions for our customers. Why re-create the wheel when Microsoft has a tremendous capability for both our development teams to create feature rich components and a common, easy to use platform for end-users."
