Mark Seward

Vice President, Software Development

Mr. Seward has been responsible for Convergence’s technical vision and direction since the inception of Convergence’s Software Development practice in 2003. He brings wide ranging experience in development, technical architecture & business methods spanning 25 years in the high tech industry. His background includes stints with the Federal Government and Fortune 500 companies and several firms in the SMB space. He has been involved in industries ranging from manufacturing & wholesale distribution to telecoms to worldwide transportation to defense operations & C3. Throughout his career he has been on the leading edge of practical applications for emerging technologies from the once-nascent fields of ERP and teleworking to the current “Web 2.0” of collaborative extranets & cross-domain service-centric applications.

Mr. Seward holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California & served the United States Air Force for eight years as an F-16 pilot. Prior to joining Convergence Mr. Seward held several roles for Trans World Airlines, including Project Architect for the worldwide crew scheduling system replacement. At Convergence he has been responsible for the E•SPONDER® state-wide all-agency collaboration portal solution.

His current work at Convergence blends experiences in all these realms to create practical and robust command, control, and collaboration systems for tomorrow’s mobile-but-fully-connected public safety, emergency planning & response forces.
