Jesse brings over 25 years of industry knowledge, business relationships, along with strategic and business planning successes among high tech startups and industry leading technology companies, working with technology vendors, system integrators, value-added resellers, telecommunication service providers and independent software and hardware vendors.
Recognized as an industry leader, Mr. Bornfreund's accolades include being named to Smart Reseller Magazine's 1999 Smart50 Channel Executives, and has served on a number of industry boards and councils, including for Lotus, IBM and Microsoft.
Prior to joining Convergence, Mr. Bornfreund spent 5 years in a variety of roles at Microsoft, including Sr. PM, Partner Development, Exchange, Sr. PM, Sharepoint Partners, and Director, Field and Partner Enablement, Groove. Other prior roles include Senior Vice President, Business Development at Interliant, Inc. (NASDAQ: INIT), one of the earliest Application Service Providers (ASP) and the world's largest Lotus Notes public network and a Microsoft Partner.
Mr. Bornfreund also worked at IBM, serving as a Corporate Strategy Consultant reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Strategy, at IBM in Armonk, New York and, previous to that, working as a Program Manager, Collaborative Services for IBM's Networked Applications Service Division, responsible for the development of Groupware-based ASP services for private and public Internets. Before joining IBM, Mr. Bornfreund has served in a variety of roles in technology and services companies, including Director of Desktop Marketing for UNIX International, and key product management and delivery roles with a number of startup companies.
